We approach children’s
development following a well-rounded approach
focusing on five main areas – Physical,
Cognitive, Socio-Emotional, Language and Arts.
Physical Development
Our teachers work with children
to facilitate age appropriate physical development
keeping in mind the unique pattern and pace of
each child’s development. We focus on gross
motor movements from crawling to jumping that
should be present at each age and fine motor skills
that lead to successful writing and manipulation
of small objects.
Cognitive Development
Our goal is to develop your
child's abilities to perceive, recognize and reason.
We work on developing their cognitive abilities
through counting, sorting, categorization, problem
solving etc. Through interactive activities and
games, we help them grow an interest in science,
as well as, awareness of their rich environment
and heritage.
Socio-Emotional Development
We provide children a safe
and happy social environment and foster in them
the ability to relate to and learn and play and
work cooperatively with other children and adults.
This is meant to lay the foundation for better
adjustment and development well into their lives.
Our curriculum also emphasizes the importance
of good manners, situation appropriate behavior
and ethical conduct.
Language Development
We constantly work with children
to help them develop age appropriate vocabulary
and the ability to articulate thoughts. Our teachers
also help develop a range of literacy skills from
beginning letter/sound recognition and identification
to phonics; from learning to hold a pencil to
scribbling to writing; from recognizing the import
of printed letters and words to a love for reading
and books.
Arts
We provide a variety of art
and creative experiences including music, colors,
dramatic play and activities that help develop
an appreciation for the arts and create balance.
These activities also reinforce learning in all
other areas by helping brain development.
